The following training lesson has been selected to specifically assist ForumPass project members that will be focusing on advanced collaboration topics.

Project Management (PDF ~ 1,946 KB) – This document outlines the capabilities and behavior of the Windchill ProjectLink project management system. It focuses specifically on how Windchill ProjectLink supports project definition, execution and control and team communication. It also describes some of the best practices that enable a customer to realize the greatest benefit from the project management capabilities.

ProjectLink is the core application upon which the ForumPass service is built. Wherever the reader sees the term "Windchill ProjectLink" herein, the reader may assume the same applies to Exostar's ForumPass application unless otherwise noted.

CAD Visualization and Markup (PDF ~ 1,594 KB) – Visualization is a ForumPass service, transparent to users, that converts CAD data into a neutral file format--a process referred to as publishing. This guide explains the CAD and Visualization markup process and the use of ProductView.

Creating Viewables in Catia V4 (PDF ~ 277 KB) – Catia models can be turned into viewable files which can then be stored in ForumPass. These files can be viewed from a PC which is enabled for ForumPass, utilizing the visualization component ProductView. These files can be shared collaboratively thus bringing together all the components required to conduct remote design reviews. This guide explains the steps for creating Catia V4 viewables in ForumPass.

ForumPass and Microsoft Project (PDF ~ 505 KB) – An important aspect of ForumPass is that you have the ability to import existing Microsoft Project Plans and export ForumPass plans into Ms Project. This guide provides in depth details covering the differences between the two applications and how you can integrate current Ms Project with ForumPass.
