Jason LaPointe

Chief Technology Officer

Jason LaPointe joined Exostar in early 2025 as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the company’s entire technology organization. He brings 25 years of experience working for private equity-backed and other software companies to this role. His responsibilities span:

• Developing and implementing Exostar’s long-term technology strategy and roadmap. This includes the ongoing adoption of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging/evolving technologies.
• Ensuring continued compliance with critical information security and operational mandates such as FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST, open banking, and ITAR.
• Playing a key role in the merger and acquisition process that will drive the company’s growth. This includes identifying and vetting M&A candidates and integrating them into the operating environment post deal closure.

Prior to joining Exostar, Jason served as CTO at Aprimo, a firm that delivers an award-winning SaaS-based, AI-powered digital asset management and content operations platform. During his tenure, he led multiple private and public acquisitions to expand the platform, the integration of GenAI into the platform (which drove the best financial results in the company’s history), and the transition of the platform from a single tenant solution to a multi-tenant SaaS solution running in the cloud.

Earlier in his career, Jason held software engineering management and development positions at CSI and Prism Systems. He received his BS degree in Computer Science from the University of South Alabama and completed Wharton Executive Education’s CTO Executive Program.
