Exostar Chairman Honored for Contributions to Aerospace & Defense Industry
Paul Kaminski to Receive William J. Perry Award and IEEE Simon Ramo Medal for His Achievements and Leadership
HERNDON, VA, March 13, 2015 – Exostar, an innovative information technology company offering cloud-based solutions that enable secure, cost-effective business-to-business collaboration, today announced that its Chairman of the Board, Paul G. Kaminski, has been selected as the 2015 recipient of the William J. Perry Award and the IEEE Simon Ramo Medal. The awards reflect Dr. Kaminski’s significant accomplishments in engineering, science, and technology that have strengthened the country’s security and national defense.
The Precision Strike Association, an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association, will present its 19th annual William J. Perry Award to Dr. Kaminski in a ceremony on March 17th. The award honors the immediate and long-term impact Dr. Kaminski has had on the United States precision strike combat advantage. He was cited for the breadth of his contributions to technologies including networked precision strike, stealth attack, and persistent surveillance that enhance American offensive and defensive capabilities at home and abroad.
Dr. Kaminski will receive the IEEE Simon Ramo Medal for exceptional achievement in systems engineering and systems science on June 20thin New York. The IEEE noted Dr. Kaminski’s technical prowess, leadership skills, and the cumulative breadth and impact of his efforts as key factors in its choice. His work in areas such as precision guided munitions; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems; and low-observable airborne systems were integral to the development of the F-117 fighter and B-2 bomber stealth aircraft, as well as advanced cruise missiles with stealth capability.
