Exostar Names Felicia Faragasso Senior Legal Counsel and Chief Ethics and Privacy Officer

New Executive Team Member Brings Extensive International Experience in Commercial Contracts and Transactions, Global Ethics, and Regulatory Program Management and Compliance

Herndon, VA, May 1, 2018Exostar, whose cloud-based solutions help companies in aerospace and defense (A&D), life sciences, and healthcare collaborate securely with their partners, today announced it has hired Felicia Faragasso to serve as Senior Legal Counsel and Chief Ethics and Privacy Officer. Faragasso comes to Exostar with over 25 years of professional experience, including 15 years in the A&D industry at Leidos.

In her role at Exostar, Faragasso will be responsible for structuring and managing the operations of the Legal department. Other duties include participating in the development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs; overseeing the analysis and preparation of all contracts; and serving as a key advisor on all major business transactions.

Faragasso recently represented Exostar at the 11th annual Anti-Corruption, Export Controls, and Sanctions (A.C.E.S) Compliance Summit. She participated with a Citi executive on a panel focused on data privacy and cybersecurity best practices, speaking to over 100 compliance professionals about requirements and solutions for protecting personal and company proprietary information.

At Leidos (formerly SAIC), Faragasso was Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. She engaged in all aspects of corporate law practice at the $11 billion publicly-traded company, including serving as Corporate Secretary for Leidos’s 34 international branches, subsidiaries, and joint ventures.  Prior to Leidos, Faragasso was Senior Director at Hughes Network Systems.  She supported the $1 billion commercial telecommunications company’s General Counsel on all transactional, export control, litigation, and general legal matters.  Faragasso began her career in private practice as an Associate at the law firm Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal (now part of Dentons).

Faragasso is a member of the bar in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.  Faragasso is a member of the Board at The Power of Pink (Virginia committee) and the Northern Virginia chapter of Girls on the Run.
