Exostar Names Michael Castle Vice President, Sales and Marketing
New Executive Team Member Brings Extensive Experience in Relevant Technologies, Vertical Markets, and Business Functions
Herndon, VA, July 31, 2018 – Exostar, whose cloud-based solutions help companies in aerospace and defense, life sciences, and healthcare collaborate securely with their partners, today announced it has hired Michael Castle to serve as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Castle comes to Exostar from Creative Information Technology, Incorporated (CITI), a systems integration software solution provider. At CITI, he led marketing, strategy, and business development efforts – including partnerships and joint ventures, as well as product management and commercialization – for the company’s Identity Management & Security, Healthcare, and Federal divisions.
“Exostar is a well-established technology provider with a proven suite of identity and access management, risk management, secure collaboration, and supply chain management solutions,” Castle said. “As organizations in the aerospace and defense, life sciences, and healthcare industries transform to support digital business throughout their extended value chains, they must implement workflows and systems that can withstand cyber threats that are unprecedented in their volume, targeting, and sophistication. I’m excited to join a company that understands the strategic importance of achieving this objective, and I look forward to helping Exostar extend its footprint globally.”
Castle brings more than 25 years of relevant experience in marketing and sales, business development, and strategy and strategic alliances initiatives with cloud, Software-as-a-Service, and software providers to his role at Exostar. He will oversee all corporate and product marketing initiatives, as well as partner and channel engagements. In addition, he will be responsible for defining and executing all sales policies, strategies, and practices; advancing the company’s technology roadmap and go-to-market strategy; and strengthening relationships with customers and all members of Exostar’s global community.
“Mike’s broad and deep commercial background at technology companies of all sizes and stages of the corporate lifecycle will serve us well as we extend our reach in the commercial marketplace and pursue new market opportunities,” said Richard Addi, Exostar’s President and CEO. “His subject matter expertise across all sales and marketing functions, coupled with his executive leadership and knowledge of vertical markets and technologies germane to our business, immediately makes him an invaluable asset and a key to our future success.”
Earlier in his career, Castle was Director of Global Marketing and Strategy for the Software & Informatics division of Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A), a $4.5B publicly-traded company. At Agilent, he led global teams in marketing, strategic planning, and roadmap development. Prior to Agilent, Castle held executive positions in sales, marketing, business development, and strategy at firms including Surety, Radiance Technologies, Onstream Media, Webware Corporation, and Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI).
