Charles (Chuck) Moran

Charles Moran is a seasoned technology executive and board member with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling software and SaaS companies. Chuck is the founder of Skillsoft, a global provider of cloud-based learning and talent management solutions, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2015 and Chairman of the Board from 1997 to 2002 and again from 2010 to 2016. Under his leadership, Skillsoft grew from a startup into a global business generating over $600 million in recurring revenue and serving more than 7,000 customers worldwide, including many Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to founding Skillsoft, Chuck served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NETg, where he led a successful turnaround that significantly increased enterprise value ahead of its acquisition. Earlier in his career, Chuck held senior leadership roles across finance, operations, sales, and marketing, including CFO/COO of Softdesk and executive positions at Archive Corporation and Insite Peripherals.

Chuck currently serves on the Board of Directors of Commvault Systems, Manhattan Associates, and Intapp. He has previously served on the boards of Duck Creek Technologies, Clarivate Analytics, and several other public and private companies.

Chuck holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a B.S. from Boston College. He was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the New England region in 2015.
