Exostar Promotes Venencia Magnusen to Human Resources Vice President

Recognition Reflects Sustained Superior Performance, Leading Role in Driving Company’s Growth and Transformation

Herndon, VA, March 22, 2018Exostar, whose cloud-based solutions help companies in aerospace and defense, life sciences, and healthcare collaborate securely with their partners, today announced the newest addition to its executive team, promoting Venencia Magnusen to the position of Vice President, Human Resources. In her new role, Magnusen will continue to oversee all HR initiatives at the company, including talent acquisition, career planning, and employee engagement.  She leads a team of HR specialists tasked with maintaining a thriving corporate culture and enabling and empowering the success of the business as Exostar augments its staff by 10-20% in the coming year.

Magnusen came to Exostar in 2015 from Harris IT Services Corporation. There, she provided strategic HR leadership to the Assured Information Systems and DoD Air Force lines of business, supporting nearly 700 employees across multiple domestic and international locations.  Prior to Harris, she served as HR Business Partner at Data Systems & Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce. At DS&S, she was responsible for the career development and satisfaction of 200 staff stationed at four sites across the U.S.  Earlier in her 20-year career, Magnusen worked as an Administrative Program Specialist for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Magnusen holds a B.S. in Business Management and an M.S. in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and she has attained Senior Certified Professional and Senior Professional in Human Resources designations.
